MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

ALI Ghorbani

Professional photographer Ali Ghorbani has traveled to 33+ countries and his career highlights include the 1996 Olympic Games, photographing Hollywood & International celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mariah Carey and Fan BingBing.

Early on in his career, Ali was mentored by a National Geographic photographer, as well as the portrait photographer of Her Majesty The Late Queen of England. Ali has worked with the world’s leading brands including LVMH, HSBC, Porsche, Disney and Four Seasons, to name a few.

In addition to being a content creator for Huawei & Honor, Ali has been giving private and public workshops since 2018 for clients such as Adobe, The British Consulate, Soho House, Hong Kong Golf Club and The Royal Geographical Society.

Ali has created and implemented the first Smartphone Photography Masterclass in the Hong Kong school system and currently works with the top International Schools. As an Art partner with AIA, he has curated the largest outdoor photography exhibition in Hong Kong in 2024 & 2025, with a foot traffic of 600,000+ people over 60 days each time.

Furthermore, Ali has created and sold 28+ Digital Photography NFTs and has been a guest lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong covering the topic of ‘Integrating NFTs into Marketing Strategies” as well as a featured guest speaker for Adobe’s “Explore the Digital Art Revolution” event.

With his works displayed in Times Square(NY), Rome(Italy), Bali(Indonesia), Beijing(China), Tokyo(Japan) and Hong Kong(China), he also conceptualized and made the first ever NFT marketing campaign for the Luxury Yachting industry in Asia.

In the private sector, Ali is in high demand for his skillful and candid photography style, with 70% of his weddings being in Thailand, Indonesia, India, USA, Switzerland and Singapore. In Hong Kong, he frequently photographs for the Top 10 families and tycoons of the city.

DAY 2

Unleash your artistic expression

DAY 3

Learn how to capture the streets

Early Breakfast.
Explore one of Portugal’s cultural gems with a day tour of Obidos.
Apply Ali’s tips learned from National Geographic to capture the essence of this medieval city.
Visit a local handicraft workshop (unique to this tour), learn about and taste famous Ginja (Cherry liqueur) and local chocolates.
Dinner: A gourmet dinner.

DAY 4

Explore Portuguese Culture and unique traditions

Transfer back to Porto for 3 Days attendees
Workshop: Capturing Movement – Technical Aspects, Composition and Lighting
Lunch: homemade Italian dishes paired with a crisp Italian wine.
Diving into local culture: Hands-on ‘live’ photography with a Traditional local band and dancers (“Rancho”) – an experience you will not find in any other organised travel itinerary.
Dinner: classic Portuguese diner.

DAY 5

Capture the colours of Costa Nova and learn how to do stunning night portraits

Visit & Photograph historic Costa Nova: A colourful fishing village & white sand beach.
Lunch: “Brazilian Churrasco”
Editing Workshop: Finalise your best work to submit for the award night.
Dinner: Fusion Dinner.

Your time to shine and Celebrate your best work and memories

Digital Camera & Lenses: A Digital Camera with any medium to wide angle lens such as 35mm, 50mm, 24-70mm, 18-55mm, and so on.
