From massive wind turbines to mind-boggling geological wonders, this is a side of Portugal most tourists completely miss.

- Açude de Arões – A hidden paradise of crystal-clear emerald waters and historic 18th-century stone watermills.
- Miradouro do Cabeço do Gralheiro – Standing high above the clouds on a mountain plateau for the most epic, endless panoramic views.
- The Giant Wind Turbines – We were absolutely blown away by the jaw-dropping scale of these mechanical giants spinning on the peaks! 🌬️⚡
- Arouca Geopark Wonders – Discovering the world-unique Pedras Parideiras (the stones that literally give birth!) and the unexplained mystery of the Pedras Boroas, which look just like traditional Portuguese corn bread crust.

🍽️ WHERE WE ATE:
When lunch rolled around, we headed into the town of Arouca. Our top recommendation, Parlamento, was completely packed—but a local tip led us to Assembleia, where we had an equally delicious and authentic local lunch! 🥩🤤 (Fun fact: even though we missed out on Parliament, we still ate like politicians at the Assembly!).
